Back in Sunny Southern California... Had an awesome time painting with Bill on Saturday. I knew I came back for a reason!

Gonna be leaving the Bay Area soon... Wonder when I will be back?
It's been really fun.

Was lucky enough to attend Erik's Workshop over the weekend. The weather was stormy... so we did more in-studio work. Worth the drive for sure!

Finally got my website going. You might even see some stuff not already on the blog! Thanks to Stephen for all his help. For the bottom image... I mixed in elements from Zelda, Shadow of Colossus, Mouse Guard and a bunch of other stuff... haha. If only I added some Totoros in there too...Hope it mixed well.
Hey people,
I usually don't do non-art related posts... but here's my meager contribution to helping out an old colleague and his fiancee.
DOLLAR CAMPAIGNYou can make a REAL difference with very LITTLE money and very LITTLE time. We're asking for two things: give $1 and pass this email to people you know. We're trying to raise $1,000,000 in 3 months to enable human therapeutic trials to fight HIBM, a debilitating disease. We're asking for two things:First, go to WEBSITE (www.hibm.org) to donate $1. Second, send this email on to all your friends and family. In the Internet age, reaching one million people in that amount of time is surely do-able. If you are interested in becoming a bigger influence in this campaign, host your own dollar collecting campaign in your community, church, workplace, among your friends and family and donate what you've collected as one donation.HIBM (Hereditary Inclusion Body Myopathy) is a progressive and debilitating muscle-wasting disorder caused by a gene defect. It touches those between the ages of 20 and 40 and, although progression is slow, it typically leads to total disability within 10-15 years. Studies suggest that HIBM may be easier to cure than many other disorders or diseases, the only limiting factor is funds. Many thanks for the read... new art coming soon!- Jackson
Hiked up the hills during lunch with Randy and Sergio for a quick paint.
The recent rains have made the ground really soggy... though the dramatic rain clouds are awesome to paint.

I've been attending some awesome workshops at Concept Design Academy last year... really should try to apply more of what I've learned.
Oh, and just in case you forgot how amazing these guys are... Kevin, Khang, Erik...
